The Philadelphia Eagles and Dez Bryant have been linked this week due to a multitude of reasons. First, the Eagles could still use some help at wide receiver. The Eagles signed former Eagle Jordan Matthews this week to fill the roster spot opening left by DeSean Jackson, however, Matthews is not expected to produce at a high level right off of the bat. Dez recently posted to twitter stating that he is ready to return to the NFL after rehabbing an Achilles injury that has kept him off the field for over a year. Host Thomas Mott breaks down this and more news on today’s video.

The Eagles reportedly reached out to former Eagle Torrey Smith this past week before signing Jordan Matthews. Torrey Smith was a key part of the Eagles Superbowl 52 team however he finished his career in Carolina after being cut by the Eagles. Smith declined and posted on twitter that he will stay retired and has no intention of returning to the field.

The Eagles might still need to do something at the wide receiver position. Backups Mack Hollins and JJ Arcega-Whiteside have not stepped up in DeSean Jackson’s absence.
